Vinesh Phogat’s Asian Games 2026 dream crushed as WFI bars her from trials

The Wrestling Federation of India announced new eligibility rules for the 2026 Asian Games trials, making Vinesh Phogat ineligible as only recent national and federation medal winners can participate. The returning wrestler is also facing an ITA warning for missing a doping test in December 2025. It counts as her first “whereabouts failure” but is not a doping violation.
