Apple is preparing to allow iPhone and iPad users in the European Union to change default apps for phone calls, messaging, and other core functions under the Digital Markets Act. Beginning with iOS 18, these changes also include deleting certain pre-installed Apple apps, intending to enhance competition in digital markets per EU regulations.
