145 Maharashtra prison inmates pass exams, secure early release

Two prisoners in Nagpur Central Prison, India, have received special remissions of 90 days for completing their BA and MA degrees, respectively. They are among 145 inmates from nine prisons in Maharashtra to have received such remissions for completing various educational programs. Pursuing education in prison provides inmates with purpose and the opportunity for a better life after release.
