Amazon rivers fall to lowest in over a century amid Brazil drought

The Negro River, a major tributary of the Amazon, has reached its lowest level on record, exacerbating the drought in the Amazon rainforest. The crisis follows a period of intense flooding just two years ago. The low water levels have left boats stranded, isolated remote villages, and caused the deaths of endangered river dolphins. The drought is attributed to the El Nino climate phenomenon and is expected to persist until December. The situation is worsened by soaring temperatures, human-caused fires, and deforestation.

Trump claimed that American taxpayer dollars helped fund the attacks and accused Biden of being weak on the global stage.
