Income tax returns: Govt refunded Rs 1.48 lakh crore to 1.02 crore taxpayers from April to Dec

The CBDT had earlier extended the last date of filing income tax returns for the FY 2019-20 to December 31 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
