Rains unlikely, Mercury crosses 37degree Celsius mark in Ahmedabad

Even as the Met department has officially declared the onset of monsoon in Ahmedabad, the city for the past 3-4 days has not received any major rainfall. The situation is not likely to improve in the next 2-3 days. In fact, the isolated cloudy conditions combined with the incursion of moisture in the atmosphere has increased the discomfort for citizens, with the mercury crossing 37-38 degrees Celsius mark.

Hiked tariffs on US items kick in from today
